Birthday Boy

Good evening friends! I'm here today with a new card I've made for my cousin's 2nd birthday. I always have a hard time making masculine cards. Fighting the urge to add lots of pretty ribbon and glamour dust, but I'm getting there!
Here's the card I made for our little dude:

I colored Cody's Balloon with my watercolors. Another lovely stamp from Mo's Digital Pencil.
And I used everything from my stash (whoop!). Sentiment is computer generated using this free font.

Here's a quick collage I've made for you

One more scrap busting card!

I would like to enter this in the following challenges:

I've colored Lazy Days with my watercolor pencils and added some glitter touches to the centers of the flowers. Don't you just love how relaxed this little hedgie looks?
Papers, twine, burlap ribbon and felt flower are from my stash. The lovely yellow buttons are Sticko Button Ups. Sentiment is handwritten as always.

Here are some close-ups

I think it turned out pretty cute, no?

Fly Away

Good afternoon crafty fellows! Today's post is very special. I'm starting to step out of my comfort zone. Usually, I always go with "pink with lots of frills and pretties", I'm just a girly girl like that!
But today I decided it's time to be brave and try my hands at a more boy-ish card.
And this little cutie turned out

Not girly, not pretty, and not pink!
I've colored the beautiful stamp Fly Away with my watercolor pencils, used paper from my stash and got the White Stars on Navy ribbon from here. The wooden button was a gift from grandma along with other vintage buttons. I think it did a great job holding all the elements together.

Here are a few close ups

This could also fit into the "Patriotic" category with the little boy carrying an airplane and all.

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:
2 Sisters Challenge Blog: Stripes
Brown Sugar Challenge Blog: Boy/ Man
Loves Rubberstamps Challenge Blog: Red, White & Blue
Delightful Challenges: Red, white, and Blue
Get Inky! Challenges: Red, White, and Blue

Well, that's it for me today. Now off to color up some more digis!

Summer is here!

Hello there lovely peeps!
This little card was my first one to make this summer. I finished my last exam just two weeks ago and now I'm ready for some guilt-free craftiness!

Lacie With Ice-cream seemed like the perfect digi to me. Nothing says summer like flip flops and ice-cream!
I colored her with my watercolor pencils and used snippets and scraps, lace, and brad from my stash. Finished off with some glitter glue around the image which doesn't really show in the picture, but I can assure you it's there!

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Jellypark ChallengesCelebrate Summer
Aud Sentiments: Summer
Pixie's Crafty Workshop: Week 78
Simon Says: Anything Goes
Sister Act Card Challenge: Anything Goes

WOYWW # 211

Hi everyone! Missed me? Didn't get to play with y'all last Wednesday. If you've been popping around in the last couple of weeks you'd know by now that I'm super busy revising for my finals. Eek!
My desk has been transformed into a studying place. *sob*
Here's how it looks like in my place:
One of the many books I'll have to finish before next Sunday, a mini air-dry clay plate I've made, my stack of envelopes containing the ATCs I've received for the WOYWW 4th anniversary, and last but not least, one of Shrek's  babies posing for the photo!

I did manage to make one little card in between revising though. Here it is:

Used one of my favorite stamps from Magnolia's You Are So Special collection. It's called Tilda With Balloon.
I've colored her with my watercolor pencils and added some glitter dots around her for a bit of interest.
Paper, button, ribbon and twine are from my stash.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Midweek Magnolias (favorite colors) - Tilda's Town (use your stash) - The Ribbon Girl (June color challenge)

That's it for me today! Now hop over to Julia's Stamping Ground and checkout what everyone else is up to.

Stay Safe. xx

WOYWW #199

Hi there WOYWWers all over the world!
The weather here in Egypt has been wonderful all week long! Plenty of sunshine and just a hint of breezy wind. Perfect for some quality time outside!

What's going on at my desk this Wednesday?

Well, I got a huge box of goodies from my new penpal Jamie. She was so generous and sent me all sorts of pretty scrapbooking stuff to play with. I figured I wouldn't be able to show you guys everything in the package, but she included a plain Accordion Album for me to fill with bits and pieces of my life and that's exactly what you'll be seeing in the next couple of posts! Isn't it pretty? Jamie's the best!
Up on my desk you can see my new Funky Fish mug, a half-eaten bar of chocolate and some other random stuff. And down there you can see some of the stuff I've received along with a pretty card and a magnet in the shape of Tennesee! (She even marked where she lives for me!)

Onto my makes this week:
Two pretty cards for my mom and grandma this mothers day.

I use pencils for coloring my stamps as Copics are nowhere to be found here in Egypt. (but again, that's just the usual! lol)

Thank you for visiting me this week, please leave me a comment so I can return the favor! And don't forget to hop on over to Julia's Stamping ground and checkout what everyone else is up to.

Toodle pip!

WOYWW #194

Hello everyone! Wednesday again! That means it's time for the greatest blog hop of all, where we show off our messy creative desks to the world! Happy What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday everyone!

The other day I received this gigantic package from my lovely WOYWW friend Eliza (check out her blog people, she's awesome!)

So my desk today is full of..
Wowza! Look at all the stuff she's sent me! Stickers, embellishments, die-cuts, ribbon, embossed paper, tags, stamps, ink-pad, doilies and lots and lots of delicious goodies that I couldn't fit into the picture. (seriously!)
So right now, I totally believe I'm the luckiest girl in the world. People out there can be really generous, don't you think?
Well, I would like to give a huge Thank You to my friend Eliza. You're the best. Really!

And as usual, as I only blog for WOYWW, I'll share a couple of projects I've been working on during the week with you!

This was one of the cards I've made for V-day

And since so many of you seemed to like my Fimo creations, I've made a new figurine!

Taadaa! Am I getting better? I think she'll make a cute gift as a baby shower or baby's first birthday cake topper, no?

Okie dokie, so that's it for me today.
Hop on over to Julia's Stamping Ground and take a look at what everyone else is up to!

WOYWW #190

Hello there WOYWW peeps! So good to see all of you again this week and I can't wait to see what you've been working on y'all!
Did you notice I only blog on Wednesdays now? Well, I don't have much time for posting, but if I'd share any of my project I'd definitely share it with my WOYWW gang! ♥

So what's on my desk? Let me tell you a little story first. I woke up the other day and found a little box with my address on one side and the name "Julia" on the other sitting on my doorstep. I got inside, opened the little box and this is what I found inside..

I was literally OMG-ing the whole time! All sorts of crafty goodness! Stamps, stickers, felt, ribbon, embellishments, twine, glitter, beads, sequins, polymer clay, everything!
Did you already guess who sent me all of the amazing supplies? It's Julia, our Julia!
Now what can I say! A million "thank you" wouldn't be enough, seriously! Can you believe what she did? and all the stuff are from my list of "Things we don't have in Egypt" from this post! How sweet of her!

I've been playing with my pretty goodies for the last couple of days and I'll show you what I've made next week!

Oh and I made this little card yesterday. :)

And these truth cards. (click the link!)

These little cards are of a size of a standard ATC that you paint, collage, decorate and add sentiments of encouragement to, then you send them to the Brave Girls Club as they're hosting this exchange where you make these pretty little cards and they send them to women in need of kind and encouraging words all over the world! I can't explain it well, but you should totally check the links I've given you and try to join in!

That's it for today! Now hop on over to Julia's Stamping Ground and take a look at all the creative workdesks out there. Eagerly waiting for all of your comments and totally going to visit everyone back. Happy WOYWW!

Hugs,

WOYWW #189

Oh me, oh my! I have missed you guys so freakin' much! How's everyone doing? I hope you're well and having a good time y'all!
Haven't blogged in a month. Yikes! Basketball, school, exams, traveling, you get the idea.
Want to know what I've been up to? This week's photo of my desk is slightly different.

Say hello to the old mattress at our school gym!
It was a Fun-Day and my best friend and I decided to have a little 'play date' at school. I shoved put most of my supplies in my backpack and got ready for 3 hours of mess creativity!
This was the result:
A little birthday card for a friend of mine. We threw her a surprise party and I just had to make her a little something to go with the gift.

What else? Well, I've been working on my drawing in the last couple of weeks..

I took the challenge of drawing two things that always irritate me while drawing. Needless to say, these two things were human hands and draped fabric! I've always had problems with these stuff in particular. Practice makes perfect, I guess!

Hey, want to hear something completely off-topic, but equally as interesting?
I've sculpted my very first OOAK clay doll!
OOAK stands for (One Of A Kind).
Is it a baby? Is it a fairy? All I know is that it's cute! (and was definitely no where near easy to make!)
I only used my hands and a toothpick, that is!

So that's it for today folks! I hope you enjoyed your visit and I'm totally waiting for your comments. :):)
Have a nice day, and don't forget to visit Julia's Stamping Ground and take a look at all the creative workdesks out there.

Until next time!

WOYWW #185

Morning everyone! Hope you and your family are jingling all the way already!
My desk is as messy as always.
Scalloped scissors, double sided tape, patterned paper, lace, pink twine, half eaten eclair and lots of random tools in my big blue basket!
Wondering about the little red card? My best friend made that for one of our teammates and I was allowed to take it home to take a decent picture of it. Isn't it lovely?

And I have some news for y'all..
I'm done with all of my greeting cards, gift and Christmas tags for this year! Whoop! Can I get a high five?

Are you bored yet? Well, you better not fall asleep just yet because I've been busy crafting yesterday and I need your comments!

Remember the little red card on my desk? Well, there's this really sweet guy in my basketball team who has his birthday today and I wanted to make him something special. He's so crazy about Miami Heat (he even has his favorite player's jersey and everything!) so I thought that a basketball-themed gift would be perfect.
Now is it just me or are guys extremely hard to shop for? Ugh! I never seemed to like anything in the shops so I ended up making this:

A personalized frame with polymer clay bits. It took me ages to make the little guy look like him with his tiny sneakers and all. But, it was well worth it.  Don't panic please,Youssef is merely the Arabic name for "Josef"! lol

And what's a gift without a little birthday card? I've whipped up this cutie in 10 minutes. So easy and cute!

Girly? I really don't know. You tell me! (seriously, I'm waiting for your comments!)

Well, that's it for today. I know I shouldn't have written all that much, especially not on Wednesdays (sorry Julia!) but someone just has to tell me if he'll like it. Tehee

Now hop on over to Julia's Stamping Ground and visit all the other messy creative workspaces out there!

Hugs,

WOYWW #178

Hello there WOYWWers! I haven't linked up in two weeks. I've missed you guys so much and I really hope you're all doing great this week.
Last week I got some pretty Washi tape in the mail and I just have to say playing around with it was the most fun I've had in a long time!
My desk this week is strangely tidy. ha!
My pretty tape rolls, some cute tags waiting for some pretty-ing, washi tape covered clothes pins, pre-folded cards and some digi stamps I've printed, colored and cut out.

Making more birthday cards. This time I've added strips of, wait for it, washi tape!

Oh and is it just me or do you all start feeling like you're running out of time to make Christmas stuff?
I better start crafting!

Sorry about the long post. If you've read this far, you're a champ!
Now hop on over to Julia's Stamping Ground and take a look at all the lovely and creative workdesks out there.

As usual I'll visit those who end with the same number as me and those who leave a comment on here.
Have a lovely day.

Hugs,
