Splashes and Smiles

Oh me, oh my! Two weeks away from the blog seemed like forever to me! I have to say I really enjoyed my vacation though. Since there was not a teeny bit of craft supplies over the last couple of weeks, I clearly have nothing crafty to show you today. Instead, I'll leave you with some bits and pieces of what my vacation was like. Interested enough to join me? anyone? Let's go!

First off let me tell you about the gorgeous city where I spent my vacation.
It's a little city on the Mediterranean sea called Marsa Matrouh. It's located in the northwest of Egypt and it's about a 3 hours drive from Alexandria (where I live)
Without further ado, here are the photographs:

My little cousin Habeeba & I.
Her name means "beloved" in Arabic. :)

We caught a crab..

Collected seashells..

Built sandcastles..

Caught starfish..

Played Tick-Tack-Toe with beach rocks and sticks..

Watched my uncles' great fishing skills..

And showed them ours..

They caught beautiful fish..

And we did, too!
We drew on the golden sand..

And celebrated Jana's missing teeth..

We watched the waves hug the rocks..

And smiled for the camera..

Lots of fun, water fights and sunshine filled these two weeks. We had a blast staying up late to grill marshmallows or have midnight ice-cream!

Did you go somewhere special this summer? If you have a blog post about it I would love to see your photos and learn about new places. If not, just give me a sneak peak in a comment!

Have a great day,

Glad you had a good time on vacation but happy to have you back here in bloggy land! waving hi from the hills of North Carolina :)
