Happy Easter everyone! I hope you and your families have had a great day.
It's not Easter yet here in Egypt, not until Monday.
So I, being the oldest grand-kid, gather my 11 little cousins every occasion and have a little "workshop" with them doing all sorts of different activities. I'm 16 years old and I've been doing this for 3 years now. My cousins just LOVE the crafts I do with them every workshop which is great because it gives me the opportunity to teach them about the world around us and make them eager for the next occasion for another craft adventure!
I'm now planning for an Easter workshop on the weekend, but until then, here's what we've been up to last Easter:
Little bunny card I made for my neighbor's girl. :) She's so happy when she found it on her doorstep after she got back from church.
Crochet amigurumi ( I was crazy about crochet at this time).
Wittle cards I made for my friends at school. :) They loved them!
Easter Workshop 2011
The kids colored that. :) isn't it just pretty? These Arabic words say: Easter Workshop
Here are some snapshots of the activities we did.
First session: EASTER COLORING PAPER! fun, fun, fun.
My 13 yr-old cousin and I drew these coloring pages the other day,and gave the kids crayons to color in. One's surprised of how much fun kids could have with such little things. :)

Egg hunt! (or to be honest, paper flower hunt!!)
I hid those paper flowers everywhere around the garden and we split into 4 teams of three's.

I counted the flowers and we announced the grand winner who happened to have a toothache so I distributed the candy upon ALL of us!
Paper airplanes race, and hide and seek are always a must at every gathering!
We had a quick snack, and continued to run even more!
Paper whirlybirds were a huge hit like always!
We've also had a skipping rope contest to see who could jump for the longest time.
Lower row: The girls saying what they liked the most about the day.
Omar, in his PJs! He's still so cute though. ^^

The kiddos' finished masterpieces! :)
It was an awesome day and we had some really good time coloring, running, playing, singing, chasing our tails and learning about Easter.
I hope you've had a great holiday.
I'll be sure to share with you how this year's workshop went like.
Love,
